Pasture Raised Chicken – Frozen chicken is for sale in our farm store and at Krugerville Farmers market. We raise Freedom Ranger chickens on pasture. These chickens are provided new ground every day using rotational grazing where they can forage for bugs and grass. They are provided with New Country Organics feed to complete their diet. These are not your grocery store chicken. Typical Chickens raised for the grocery store are Cornish Cross which grow in 8 weeks and are known for having health issues. Freedom Ranger chickens are active chickens suitable for free-ranging and foraging. They grow slower than the Cornish Cross, but faster and larger than a heritage breed chicken.
